RADIUS nominated for the Gulden Feniks 2024 award

RADIUS is nominated for the prestigious Gulden Feniks Award 2024 in the Transformation category!

The 100-year-old pump house with an underground water reservoir at the foot of the Delft water tower has been transformed into the RADIUS art center. With respect for the national monument, DP6 designed an atmospheric entrance and a fascinating exhibition space. In addition to the transformation itself, great attention was paid to minimizing the ecological footprint of the added components by using biobased materials and low-tech installations. This transformation seamlessly aligns with the themes of art center RADIUS, which organizes exhibitions at the intersection of art and science, with an emphasis on climate, ecology, and the living environment. Therefore, it is a great honour that our project has been nominated for this award.

The NRP Gulden Feniks is the national prize for the renovation and transformation of the built environment. This year, 54 projects were submitted in the categories of renovation, transformation, and area transformation. The jury has now nominated eight projects: The National Park De Hoge Veluwe, ITC University of Twente, District Court, Kop-hals-klooster, Nimeto Utrecht, City Hall Den Helder, Vreewijk, and our project RADIUS.

The winners will be announced at the NRP congress on November 7.
