New management composition

2019.07.10

As of September 1, 2019, Dick de Gunst will join DP6 architecture studio, where he will serve as architect-director alongside Richelle de Jong and Dardo Mantel, helping shape the firm. Founders Chris de Weijer and Robert Alewijnse are stepping down from the management team but will continue to work at the firm as project architect-partners.

Dick de Gunst (born in 1969) has worked at Hans van Heeswijk architects for nearly 25 years, holding the position of architect/co-director since 2003. He has made significant contributions to landmark projects such as the Hermitage Amsterdam, the Mauritshuis in The Hague, and the Lansingerland town hall. Additionally, he was responsible for residential renovation projects, with the renovation of De Boel flats in Amsterdam being published in the Architecture Yearbook this year.

The management and partners are very pleased with Dick's arrival: "With his extensive knowledge and experience, his ambition, and his eye for detail, Dick will enrich our firm. Our architecture and expertise complement and strengthen each other. This management change is a logical step in the 20-year history of the firm, and we look forward to the future with confidence and enthousiasm."
